<|REAVERS|>

A living-story RPG where
an AI engine remembers
everything you do.

Built on a universal, AI-native game engine by lost mountain.

The game

Reavers is set in Aethe — a world of warring gods, violence, and power torn from the multiverse itself. You take up a character already woven into the world, with a name, a history, and people who know them, and descend into it solo or shoulder to shoulder with friends.

Everything you do ripples outward. The people of Aethe remember you — they trust you, fear you, or hunt you — and the same deed earns a hunter’s nod or a priest’s dread depending on who is watching. Death isn’t game over but a turning of the page: your character falls, yet your story carries forward, and the world continues around the legend you leave in it.

An AI-native engine

Most games script their worlds by hand. Reavers is generated and reasoned about at runtime by a game engine designed, from the ground up, around AI. It is not one game with an AI feature bolted on — it is a universal engine meant to power many worlds, of which Reavers is the first.

One universal taxonomy

Every character, item, place, skill, and rule is a structured entity in a single universal data model. The same engine can express entirely different universes — swap the content, keep the machine.

Narration written for you

What you read is generated in the moment by large language models, from your character’s point of view and grounded in the actual game state — so two players in the same room can be told two true, different stories.

NPCs that plan

Characters pursue goals using goal-oriented action planning (GOAP over A* search), so the world acts on its own logic and reacts to you, rather than replaying a fixed script.

A world with state

Actors carry physical and emotional state that drives both what they do and how they are depicted, and the world’s history persists as a living record you can change.

Art, generated too

A dedicated image pipeline renders characters and scenes to match the moment, so the world you read about is the world you see.

Every run is different

Persistent, generated, and reactive — the result is a story that is genuinely different for every player and every playthrough, not a branching tree of pre-written outcomes.

The studio

Reavers is made by lost mountain, an independent studio building a universal, AI-native engine for living worlds. Our bet is that the next generation of games will be reasoned about at runtime rather than authored frame by frame — worlds that remember, react, and narrate themselves.

Reavers: The Three Kings is the first world we have built on it. It is in early access now.
